The International Christian Medical Outreach is a non-denominational Christian mission organization. Founded by Dr. Jonathan Kerley in 2000, and currently based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, ICMO is dedicated to spreading the love of Christ by providing free healthcare to rural and urban regions of the 3rd world. We believe that in doing so, we open the door to share the Gospel of Christ and win souls for the Kingdom of God.
Our teams are made up of volunteer healthcare professionals, clergy and lay persons of all ages and from all walks of life. Our supplies and equipment all come from supportive sponsors and individuals who hear the cry of those in need and respond generously by giving us the tools, medicines and funds we need to accomplish God's work.
Typically the clinics we do are comprised of three areas; The triage/medical component where patients are diagnosed and treated to the best of our ability; a pharmacy where we distribute available medication and vitamins; and a prayer center, where the patient is prayed for and the gospel is shared. You would be amazed at how many times patients are diagnosed with problems that are "untreatable" in the field, only to find that when they walk out of the prayer center they are healed. We have literally seen the lame walk, the deaf hear and the blind see.
We encourage readers to delve into the web site - journey with us into the mission field through our mission journals and see how God is changing lives through ordinary people like yourselves.
